How to protect children's skin when going outside?
The sun's rays affect children's skin very strongly for several reasons. First , children's skin is thinner and more vulnerable than adults', so ultraviolet (UV) rays can damage it more easily. UV rays are divided into two main categories , UVA and UVB. UVA rays penetrate deeper into the skin and can cause long-term damage such as skin aging and wrinkling, while UVB rays are responsible for skin burns and redness. Both of these types of UV rays increase the risk of skin cancer, including melanoma, which is the deadliest form of skin cancer.
Health guide: dry skin in children
Children's skin is generally more sensitive than mature adult skin. It is thinner and more sensitive to environmental influences: sunlight, various chemicals, allergens, etc. The natural protective function of the skin decreases especially from birth to six years, so it needs special care.
