First aid for injuries
Apply the R I C E principle:
Rest – keep the injured area still and relaxed;
Ice – cold! (24–48 hours); Easy Ice cold packs and the cooling sprays Bonum Ice 400 ml and Dr. Henning Chloraethyl 175 ml are particularly suitable.
Compression – lightly bandage the injured area; we recommend Physicool Combi.
Elevation – raise the injured limb.
Important! Ice should not touch the skin directly (apply through a damp cloth). Cool every 1.5–2 hours for 10–20 minutes, depending on the size of the injured area.
We recommend using Easy Ice cold packs immediately after the injury, followed by the aerosol cooling sprays Bonum Ice 400 ml and Dr. Henning Chloraethyl 175 ml.
If in doubt, seek medical attention to have the condition assessed.
Pain should not be ignored and adequate pain relief should be provided. Do not take medicines without consulting a doctor.
